Duties and Responsibilities
Substitute teachers will provide instruction and class supervision to cover staff on leave.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of two years classroom teaching experience, preferably in primary school
- Teaching qualification recognized by the Hong Kong Education Bureau and eligibility for Registered Teacher standing in Hong Kong required
- Commitment to best educational practices and on-going professional improvement
- Current eligibility for employment in Hong Kong
Language Competency
Primary Substitute Teachers
- Instructional competency in English is essential
- Native proficiency in spoken and written English required
- Fluency in spoken and written Chinese preferred
Chinese Substitute Teachers
- Prior experience teaching Mandarin as a second / foreign language in a school setting preferred
- Proficiency in simplified and traditional script required
- Native proficiency in Mandarin required
- Fluency in spoken and written English
