The MSc Programs Office looks after a portfolio of specialized MSc programs at the HKUST Business School. Students of the full-time programs are mainly fresh graduates from all over the world while students of the part-time programs are primarily working executives in various industries and functions in Asia, including but not limited to the Greater China region.
The MSc Programs is currently looking for a high-caliber candidate for the below 2 positions:
- The appointee will support the alumni engagement for the MSc alumni community. The appointee will play a key role in devising and implementing an alumni engagement plan to foster lifelong alumni relations to build a close-knit MSc alumni community along with the continued expansion of the MSc portfolio. The appointee will be responsible for maintaining close communications with alumni on the latest School and program development; identifying opportunities to enhance their networking opportunities and industry exposure continually; and organizing professional training to support their career development. The expected outcome is to create a strong sense of belonging, and a robust alumni community to support the University and the programs.
- The appointee will support central administrative functions to enhance the efficiency of the MSc programs office operations and cross-program synergies. Duties include implementing new initiatives and project development, handling cross-MSc program projects and course arrangement, compiling qualitative reports with quantitative analysis, coordinating regular program exercises and data collection. The appointee will also serve as a coordinator for internal and external parties on MSc program related matters, perform daily administrative works and provide ad-hoc support as assigned.
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a business discipline, with at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience inevent planning(position 1) or program administration (position 2)and/or the education sector. The ideal candidate has a problem-solving mindset, an outgoing personality, is able to work both independently and in a team, shows attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate should be a good team player and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as co-ordination skills. The appointee should also have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Work outside normal office hours, including weekends/ public holidays or evenings is occasionally required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
