Responsibilities

• Provide Individual Career Counseling – Support individuals from ethnically diverse backgrounds with career guidance, job search strategies, and professional development resources.
• Coordinate Employment Training – Develop job readiness programs to help individuals gain skills, secure job opportunities, and navigate workplace challenges.
• Assist in Service Development – Collaborate on community initiatives to expand social support services for ethnically diverse populations.
• Proposal Writing – Assist in grant applications and funding proposals to secure resources for expanding career and employment services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Social Work.
• Experience in career coaching, employment training, or community engagement.
• Strong writing skills for proposals and program documentation.
• Proven experience working with ethnically diverse communities, with a strong commitment to promoting inclusivity, equity, and accessible support services.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of ethnically diverse populations and a passion for serving them.
• Proficiency in English or Chinese, or at least one of the following ethnic minority languages: Nepali, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi (preferred).

(9)   Multicultural Employment Service-Social Worker (Job : 1003)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide employment counselling and case support services for ethnically diverse clients.
• Planning and implementing employment support services, including counselling, training workshops, group activities and mass program.
• Collaborate with the team to develop culturally responsive services and draft service proposals based on community needs.
• Engage effectively with stakeholders across various sectors to enhance service delivery.
• Rotate between two service centers in Tsuen Wan and Wan Chai.

Requirements:

• Registered social worker with recognized diploma or higher in Social Work.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with ethnic minority communities; strong English communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Urdu, Hindi, or Nepali is a strong advantage.
• Saturday shifts are required based on work needs.
