Communications Manager/ Assistant Communications Manager (6-month Contract, Maternity Cover)

  About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and creative communications professional to join our team on a 6-month maternity cover contract. This role will support our Communications Director in driving impactful marketing and PR initiatives, with a strong focus on design, art, and culture.

 Key Responsibilities:

·                Assist the Communications Director in developing and executing strategic marketing communications programs, including brand campaigns, media relations, and events.

·                Manage day-to-day communications activities, including copywriting, content creation, social media management, and publishing.

·                Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners to maximize brand exposure in the design and creative sectors.

·                Oversee CSR initiatives to strengthen the company’s reputation and community engagement.

·                Collaborate closely with the in-house graphic and multimedia design team to ensure high-quality, on-brand deliverables.

·                Lead and support ad-hoc projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s creative vision and business objectives.

Requirements:

·                Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Translation, or a related field.

·                Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing communications, PR, media, or editorial roles (candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Communications Manager position).

·                Exceptional English and Chinese writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

·                Strong media network and proven event management experience, preferably within the design, hospitality, or cultural sectors.

·                Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

·                Highly organized, independent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

·                Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams.

·                Detail-oriented, results-driven, and passionate about design, art, and culture.

·                Immediate availability is highly preferred.
