Summer Internship - IT Engineer

Principle One designs, implements and runs information technology and audiovisual systems across Asia. We help a wide range of clients, both from Asia and from around the world. They all demand a consistently high standard of project and service delivery, often in multiple locations across Asia. 

We work with organizations in many different industries, notably alternative investments, education, luxury retail and professional services. We are a technology services company unlike most others. We have over one hundred of our own staff who are specialists in the many disciplines that span audiovisual and information technology infrastructure. While we are each experts in our own field we also collaborate extensively with each other to deliver the best converged solutions for our clients.

Daily work

• Handle Level-1 IT support requests raised to the Helpdesk
• Handle scheduled maintenance to clients’ IT systems 
• Desktop level issues troubleshooting
• Regular & guided network and server administration tasks
• Prepare & update system documentation

What you would learn

• Technical skills – learn essential technical skills from successful IT support experts
• Professional communications skill – effective communications is very important to our company culture and demanding clients. You will learn how to respond others’ questions clearly and precisely
• End-user support experience – after the 2-3 weeks initial on the job training, you will be assigned to provide support for Principle One clients
• Industry best practices – learn different industry best practices essential for successful IT specialists

Knowledge/Skills:

• No special requirements on which programs / faculty of your studies

Language:

• Cantonese and Mandarin: proficient in listening and speaking
• English: proficient in listening, speaking and writing
• Fluency in Mandarin and English would be an absolute advantage
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Suitable for students who want to gain experiences related to IT support / Server system / Network system / Information Security / IT service management

Employment Terms:

• Mon to Fri: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• 2 Months Internship Program
