The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Digital Transformation programme.  The Programme aims to develop students’ understanding and capability to become digital transformers, manage transformation and innovation in the current business environment.  The Programme offers two specialised streams, one in ‘Digital Business and Leadership’ and the other in ‘Digital Technology and Innovation’.
      
The appointee will need to assist in the formulation of learning and teaching strategies; curriculum development in at least one of the following modules:
-    Digital Business Process and Operations
-    Global Business Environment
-    Cyber Security in Business
-    Strategic Innovation and Entrepreneurship
-    Business Intelligence and Analytics
 
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Information Technology; Digital Transformation; Digitalization and Digital Innovation, or related disciplines, with solid teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the related fields.  S/he should have experience in supervising students’ Final Year Projects, and have high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.  S/he must also fulfil one of the following criteria:
(a)    Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or
(b)    Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or
(c)    At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or
(d)    Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work.
           
Notes:
(1)    The post of Lecturer I is at the rank of Teaching Fellow I.
(2)    Applicants who have responded to the advertisement in the last six months need not re-apply.
(3)    The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(4)    The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(5)    The appointee will work at Chai Wan Campus.
