Assistant Registrar, Registry (Ref.: 25/133/REG/AR)

Duties:
Reporting to the Registrar, the appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting the Registrar in planning, coordinating, and overseeing key administrative functions of the timetabling and academic regulations team; (b) leading and supervising the team to ensure effective support for the operation of designated work areas; (c) managing record-related tasks to ensure the accurate collection, maintenance, and communication of student academic records and performance data; (d) preparing statistical reports relevant to the Registry's operations; (e) developing and implementing academic regulations; (f) managing the timetabling process; (g) contributing to the production of Registry-related publications; (h) liaising with various stakeholders as needed to fulfill responsibilities effectively; and (i) enhancing and optimizing operational procedures through the use of advanced technologies and systems.

Appointment Criteria:
Applicants should (a) hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant full-time post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a higher education setting; (b) demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills; (c) possess excellent communication abilities with a high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; (d) exhibit a proven capacity to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines, while managing multiple tasks in an organized manner; and (e) demonstrate effective teamwork skills, be self-motivated, and capable of performing well under pressure. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working in the Registry of local tertiary education institutions.
