Procurement Officer

Company Overview: OBMG is a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to delivering excellence in products and services within the Electrical Engineering sector. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and follow up on daily order requests.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct thorough research on potential suppliers.
• Track and document all orders accurately.
• Manage urgent purchasing needs effectively.
• Report any damaged or defective purchases promptly.
• Oversee sourcing, price negotiations, payment terms, purchase orders, shipping documents, and order follow-ups.
• Coordinate the entire process from order placement to delivery, including shipment and cost control.
• Manage shipment lead times and meet delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess their supply requirements and provide suitable solutions.
• Communicate with internal teams and the warehouse to ensure the proper receipt of orders and shipments.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the director.
• Manage sundry orders, including stationery, cleaning supplies, tissues, and office enhancements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of supply chain management and inventory control principles.
• Familiarity with market trends and supplier evaluation processes.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
