Accounting - Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting - Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at May Cheong Toy Products Fty Ltd. in Yau Tsim Mong District. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations and contributing to the overall financial management of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Accounting Manager in preparing financial statements, budgets and forecasts
• Performing month-end accounting procedures, including account reconciliations and analysing financial data
• Competent knowledge to review and supervise the finance and accounting operations of subsidiaries in China or Europe
• Providing support in the preparation of tax returns and liaising with external auditors
• Monitoring and maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Assisting with the implementation of effective financial controls and procedures
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of the finance function

What we're looking for

• Relevant university degree in Accounting or Business Administration

• 7+ years of solid working experience in accounting and/or internal auditing of private sectors, of which at least 3 years working as senior in sizable manufacturing sector

• Strong proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets and financial reporting tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both in terms of English as well as Mandarin, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations of Hong Kong and China.
