Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities
1. Wholesale Sales
a. Generate sales with wholesale customers and provide competitive and viable product offers through market research
b. Utilize sales data to manage, develop, and serve wholesale accounts and provide customer service functions
2. Product Procurement
a. Coordinate product procurement and manage various product life cycles
b. Manage expression of interest submissions in a timely manner to secure access to all potential opportunities and ensure all purchase order deadlines are met to allow for timeliness of product launches and wholesale offers whilst providing accurate forecasting using existing sales and market data to avoid risk to market fluctuations and prevent potential losses
c. Review and negotiate key terms of contracts and formalize all agreements to ensure most favorable payment terms, commitments, and costs
3. Product Management
a. Manage and develop product pricing plans and inventory control
b. Setup product SKUs accurately and comprehensively
c. Review excessive inventory levels and formulate strategies to reduce inventory utilizing retail promos or wholesale offers
d. Provide updates to retail team on product availability and/or delays and assist with all other retail product inquiries
e. Liaise with marketing team to effectively promote new releases and other products accordingly
f. Provide advance notice for products suitable and/or unique releases for retail team
4. Business Development
a. Foster existing supplier relationships, develop and conceptualize new products and exclusive programs
b. Engage with the latest industry news and market releases through product offers, social media activity, communities, and forums, relevant industry & coin websites and consistent review of competitors’ websites to develop new concepts and products
c. Identify and explore other business opportunities
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- BBA / BA / BS -- Preferably in Marketing, Business or relevant fields will be a strong advantage.
Experience and skills
- 5-8 years of sales & product management experience with E-comm & Retail relevance
- Preference for candidates with experience from the precious metals industry with established relationships & network
- Results oriented with strong drive to succeed
- Ability to multi-task/manage multiple programs and inquiries at any given time
- Strong listening, communication & negotiation skills
- Attention to Detail & Numbers is essential.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in managing procurement, forecasting, and running sales analysis. Capable to analyze sales data and marketing conditions
- Strong PC skills -Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to understand and operate ERP and related systems.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Attention to details and maintain high level of accuracy
