About the role
As our Head of Business Development,you will lead our growth strategy by expanding into new markets, building key partnerships, and driving revenue. You will oversee sales, partnerships, and market entry plans while working closely with product and technology teams to align our solutions with customer needs. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of payments and fintech, and the ability to execute growth plans in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
· Define and execute our 5-year growth roadmap across existing and new markets
· Lead all revenue streams (transaction fees, SaaS licensing, value-added services)
· Represent the company at government, banking, and regulatory levels
Business Expansion
· Identify and penetrate new verticals (eCommerce, FinTech, Banking, Retail)
· Establish joint ventures and market entry strategies for emerging APAC markets
· Drive annual revenue targets of USD 50M+
Partnership Ecosystem
· Negotiate strategic alliances with banks, card networks, and BigTech partners
· Build our channel partner program (ISVs, MSPs, payment facilitators)
· Structure M&A opportunities to accelerate market position
Team Building
· Scale our commercial organization (Sales, Marketing, Partnerships)
· Instill performance culture with data-driven KPIs
· Mentor next-generation leadership team
Requirements
Experience
· 15+ years in fintech/payments leadership (CEO/MD/Regional Head level)
· Proven track record of scaling payment solutions to a Gross Payment Volume (GPV) of USD 100B+
· Deep rolodex in APAC banking/payments ecosystem
· Successful exits (IPO/acquisition) or unicorn-building experience preferred
Skills
· Master negotiator with 8-9 figure deal experience
· Expert in payments economics (interchange, SaaS and PaaS models)
· Fluent in digital transformation trends (embedded finance, BaaS, Web3 payments)
· Outstanding cross-cultural leadership abilities
