Job Overview

We are looking for Senior Mechanical Commissioning Managerto join our Hong Kong team. The ideal candidate will lead the mechanical commissioning efforts for our Data Centre projects, ensuring that all related systems are effectively integrated and function according to design specifications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

·       Deliver various commissioning processes from initial stages to final close out and handover/continuous commissioning.

·       Develop and execute commissioning plans for Mechanical, Fire, Plumbing & Drainage, BMS and Controls systems, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.

·       Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and contribute to creating quotations/RFPs for commissioning works.

·       Manage client relationships and ensure overall satisfaction with commissioning processes and outcomes.

·       Oversee and, if necessary, write commissioning-focused documentation, including plans, scripts, reports, strategies and method statements.

·       Independently lead projects of various sizes and types, as required.

·       Supervise and mentor junior/intermediate engineers working on commissioning projects, both directly and indirectly.

·       Resolve issues and observations related to testing and commissioning activities.

·       Conduct meetings and workshops related to internal and external commissioning requirements.

·       Utilize various electronic platforms (e.g., Cx Alloy, Facility Grid, Cx Planner) effectively.

·       Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and vendors, to verify the integration and operational success of MEP systems.

·       Ensure all testing and commissioning activities comply with local, national, and international regulations and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

·       Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

·       Minimum 6-15 years of mechanical commissioning experience from main contractor / subcontractor / vendor commissioning experience

·       Experience with critical facilities such as Data Centers is a must

·       Hands-on experience managing multiple projects

·       Fluency in English

·       Commissioning related qualifications such as BCxP, CSA, NEBB, LEED would be beneficial, but not a must
