Telecommunications Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Hybrid Radio System Project Implementation

   • Deploy, install, and maintain Hybrid Radio System hardware (servers, base stations, dispatch consoles, etc.).

   • Install, configure, and troubleshoot OS (Linux/Windows).

   • Conduct regular hardware inspections, document equipment status, and develop maintenance plans.

   • Manage project execution, resolve technical issues, and ensure on-time delivery.

   • Coordinate resources with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.

2. System Maintenance

   • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Hong Kong Hybrid Radio System wireless networks.

   • Perform post-delivery maintenance (performance tuning, functional updates).

   • Maintain local servers (physical/virtualized environments), including backup, storage management, and disaster recovery.

   • Monitor TETRA system/device performance and generate maintenance reports.

3. Security & Compliance

   • Ensure compliance with Hong Kong data privacy laws (e.g., PDPO [Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance]).

4. User Support

   • Provide on-site/remote technical support (average response time ≤0.5 hours).

   • Document issue resolution processes.

   • Train end-users on system operations.

II. Job Requirements

1. Basic Qualifications

   • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related fields.

   • Experience: 3+ years in TETRA wireless communication project management/engineering (case studies required).

   • Professionalism: Strong accountability, problem-solving under pressure.

2. Technical Skills

   • Proficient in TETRA protocols and wireless communication principles.

   • Advanced Linux/Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting.

   • Hands-on experience with base station debugging, terminal configuration, and hardware maintenance.

   • Fluent in English (technical documentation; IELTS 5.5+). Mandarin is a plus.

3. Work Conditions

   • Salary: HKD 20,000–30,000/month (negotiable based on experience).

   • Location: Hong Kong (on-site support required).

4. Additional Requirements

   • No remote work. Must hold Hong Kong Permanent ID or valid work visa.

   • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

   • Must sign an NDA (no side projects allowed).
