System Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who can quickly master observability tools and practices in an enterprise IT environment. This is a customer facing role. The candidate is a self-driven learner and capable of rapidly acquiring expertise in observability solution and delivering impactful value. The candidate is expected to be keen on possession on strong foundation in IT systems, networking, cybersecurity, and IT operations knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement IT observability solutions and with AI and Machine Learning technique.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as sales team, support team and customer) to understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical solution.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide insights into system health, performance, and security posture.
• Develop automation program for data ingestion, processing, and visualization.
• Provide technical support.
• Stay current with emerging observability technologies and industry best practices through continuous learning.
• Draft technical document, delivery presentation, training.

Required Skills and Experience

• Determine to acquire new technologies
• Demonstrated ability to learn independently and rapidly.
• Programming skills (e.g., JAVA, Python, Shell)
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Good communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Willing to work on-shift if necessary

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of enterprise IT environments include VM infrastructure, network infrastructure, cybersecurity defence, private cloud and IT operations.
• Experience with data processing formats such as JSON and XML.
• Prior hands-on experience or familiarity with ELK or Splunk or similar
• Exposure to cloud-native monitoring

• Understanding of distributed tracing and application performance monitoring
