Sourcing Manager, Zipper / Trims

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for developing new potential supplier base in China and Asia Pacific region, ensuring the company can meet all order requirements; and are the most competitive zipper/trims suppliers on price.
• Identify, source and qualify new suppliers for zipper/trims in China & Asia Pacific.
• Oversee all costs/sales prices with relation to margins; good knowledge in price and buying terms with suppliers and vendors.
• Build collaborative and effective relationship with suppliers and continuously upgrade supplier’s operation and performance.
• Work in conjunction with senior management to develop strategic plans to align all manufacturing facilities and meet company strategic objectives related to third party sourcing and direct manufacturing.
• Overall responsibility for monitoring partner suppliers / manufacturers performance with regards to ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and pricing.
• Resolve locally, any quality, schedule, or pricing queries with the relevant supply / manufacturing partners.
• Manage supplier contract terms, supplier analysis, supplier selection, negotiation, and terms; adherence to all legal and ethical practices.
• Develop an extensive supply chain network / portfolio ready to support and execute requirements from various zipper/trim items’ customers.
• Assist senior management in any specific projects as necessary.

Requirements :

• 10+ years’ experience in the zipper/trims industry, at least 3 years in managerial role.
• Extensive experience in handling zipper/trims sourcing, product design and construction, price negotiations, and maintaining and establishing existing and new factory relationships.
• Excellent knowledge of all kind of zippers/trims price; and suppliers/vendors in China and Asia Pacific.
• In-depth knowledge of all technical aspects of zipper/trims' sourcing & production.
• Experience managing outsourced manufacturing resources.
• Solid experience in materials management from planning through to purchasing.
• Excellent working knowledge of Logistics and Import – Export regulations.
• High integrity.
• Able to travel.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
