As a Database Consultant, you will be the trusted advisor to our clients, diagnosing their database issues, designing strategic solutions, and implementing best practices to optimize their data ecosystem. You will dive into new environments regularly, requiring sharp analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Client Advisory & Solutioning: Engage with clients to understand their business objectives and technical challenges. Recommend and architect the right database solutions (Relational, NoSQL, Columnar, Document), ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics platforms to meet their specific needs.

• Performance Diagnostics & Tuning: Conduct in-depth analysis of client database environments. Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize complex queries, and redesign indexing strategies to deliver immediate and tangible improvements.

• Database Health Assessments: Perform comprehensive reviews of client database systems, including monitoring practices, configuration, security, and high-availability setups. Provide actionable reports and roadmaps for enhancement.

• Implement DevOps Practices: Guide client development teams in integrating Database DevOps (DBOps) into their CI/CD pipelines. Implement tools to automate schema migrations and ensure reliable, repeatable deployments.

• Data Analytics Platform Expertise: Recommend, Implement and optimize modern data analytics platforms for clients, with hands-on experience in tools (such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery), and data visualization tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Grafana) for large-scale data processing and analytics.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but what really matters is your hands-on experience!
• Hands-on expertise with a wide range of database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Mastery in SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business value for client executives.
• A passion for problem-solving and a desire to drive successful outcomes for clients.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Bonus points if you’re an open-source contributor or have a passion for making and tinkering!
