Job Description

We are looking to recruit a new member to our growing business development team at our office in Wan Chai. We are a UK headquartered business with an office in HK for over 10 years.

We run large-scale international exhibitions in Australia, America and the UK.

You would be working on our trade shows Sydney Build Expo and Melbourne Build Expo. You would be working alongside our sales and marketing team.

Role Description

The Senior Sales Account Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and growing customer accounts, generating new leads, and driving new business opportunities for Sydney Build and Melbourne Build Expo. This role requires a proactive sales professional with proven experience in account management, business development, and ideally, prior management or leadership experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships, managing key accounts, and contributing to the overall growth of the Expo’s.

  • Maintain and nurture existing customer accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Generate new leads and identify fresh business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Lead and mentor junior sales staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage client communications effectively.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.

About the Role

The role will involve selling a range of Exhibition & Sponsorship packages which enable companies to promote themselves in the construction industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth and development of our expanding team in Hong Kong. You will have the support of a great team as well as a great social life amongst all departments in the office. You will also have the opportunity to travel internationally to a variety of locations to assist in the running of our events.

The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.

Skills & Requirements

We are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within the exhibition industry.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A natural communicator
  • Comfortable speaking at director level
  • Competent with email, office and general IT systems
  • Ambitious, positive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work to targets
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment
