Senior Product Development Manager

We are looking for talents to develop product development collection for the assigned product category(ies) based on fashion trend insights to showcase TAL’s capabilities and generate customer demand for TAL products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop trend presentation and product development collection to delivers key fashion themes and insights to customers and internal associates
• Determine the key themes (e.g. colors, patterns, fabrications, styles, etc.) for the subsequent development season based on collected fashion trend information
• Establish channels and sources for collecting information on future fashion trends (e.g. colors, patterns, fabrications, styles, etc.).
• Meet with target customers to present fashion trends, insights, and the TAL PD Collection
• Create the product development budget and timeline for PD collection
• Communicate with the R&D team to understand technical details for new performance products to be commercialized
• Maintain the showroom garment samples and recommend to the VP on the garment samples to be represented in the showroom.

Requirements

• Degree holder, preferably in Fashion & Textiles related subjects
• At least 10 years relevant working experience on product development of apparel products
• Strong experience in developing trend presentation and product development collection
• Strong fashion design sense and understanding of American apparel brands with solid fabric knowledge
• Strong communication and presentation skill of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin
• Proficient PC applications in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Willing to travel
