Senior Accounting Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Officer to play a pivotal role in our Finance team. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will take full responsibility for accounting operations and supporting strategic finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the purchase cycle: from data entry through to payment processing.

• Treasury & bank reconciliation: oversee cash management and reconcile bank accounts; supervise and liaise with the Accounts Receivable team.

• Accounting entries & management accounts: take responsibility for the preparation and accuracy of all accounting entries, and ensure timely production of management accounts.

• Accrual accounting: implement and monitor all processes necessary to ensure accurate accrual-based accounting, including accruals, prepayments, and related controls.

• Monthly closings: independently record month-end adjustments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

• Compliance & standards: apply and ensure adherence to IFRS accounting standards in all reporting and processes.

• External liaison: coordinate directly with auditors and tax consultants for year-end audits, tax filings, and ad-hoc compliance matters.

• Financial reporting: prepare monthly reports in line with CFO and headquarters’ requirements.

• Process improvement: propose and implement initiatives to move toward paperless, automated bookkeeping and enhanced efficiency.

• Strategic partner: provide the CFO with comprehensive support across all accounting and finance matters.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience, with proven track record in a similar role within a multinational corporate environment.

• Prior experience in an audit firm is a strong advantage.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Navision / Business Central preferred).

• Advanced user of Excel with strong analytical skills.

• Fluent in English and Cantonese (written and spoken).

• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards is required.

What we offer

Working Days: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. with one hour from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 13 p.m. on alternate Saturdays
