Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Logistics Manager, the Logistics Supervisor will support the end-to-end supply chain operations. This role will work closely with multiple business units and service providers.

Responsibilities

Process Management

  • Responsible for the smooth supply chain operations of company, ensuring that gaps and inefficiencies in current processes through process changes and improvements ;
  • Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of supply chain operations in timely manner ;
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues ;
  • Manage the supply chain process from planning, negotiation to quotation ;
  • Review import and export documentation and ensure shipment compliance to customer, destination, tax authority and regulatory requirements (Europe, JAPAC, US) ;
  • Supporting internal and external customers by providing timely status updates on domestic and international shipments ;
  • Coordinating internally with finance and business partners, freight forwarders, and 3PLs for timely and accurate shipment arrangement, documentation, release, and final deliveries.

Management of Service Providers and Vendors

  • Build and maintain good relationship with appointed freight forwarder and vendor ;
  • Work closely with the appointed 3PL on warehousing and deliveries matter;
  • Work closely with clients’ vendors on pick up schedules ;
  • Continuously review the operational procedures to enhance the supply chain process and monitor the services performance of 3PL providers ;
  • Drive service providers to provide expected service level ;
  • Analyze freight forwarders rates for overseas shipment to ensure utilization of the most cost-effective shipment method.

Others

  • Assist on ad hoc supply chain / logistics assignment ;
  • Support for AP & AR (Finance) procedures when necessary ;
  • Conduct constant review of procedures and workflow to ensure good quality of work.

Requirements

  • DSE or above required ;
  • Diploma / Degree holder in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or related discipline is highly preferred ;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in supply chain function and/or 3rd party logistics – contract logistics function ;
  • Experience in warehousing operations, inventory management, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or ERP will be an advantage ;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Microsoft Excel ;
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to constraints and respond constructively to new demands and challenges ;
  • Project management skills to organize complex and critical tasks ;
  • Good analytical skills to analyse data and control processes ;
  • Ability to communicate and work well with all stakeholders across the organisation ;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently ;
  • Awareness of global markets and complex supply chain processes is a plus.
