Junior Technician / Technician (Garment)


Job Duties:

• Support merchandising teams in better understanding Italian market/buyer needs, on supplier certification and supplier selection/evaluation
• Assure all steps in sample cycle process and shorten lead time
• Provide technical advice to merchandising team in Hong Kong and China’s suppliers
• Verify the technical sheet information given to the suppliers (coherence, completeness)
• Perform the technical verification of the samples before sending them to the buyers
• Approve pp samples & full size grading on behalf of headquarters in Italy by ensuring the fit and garment quality meet company standards
• Check and adjust paper patterns for supplier if needed
• Proactively assess quality risks and send alerts on potential quality issues in the earliest development stage
• Monitor supplier’s fit performance and train them from season to season in order to improve their sample quality

 Job Requirements:

• Minimum Form 5 standard/ DSE, graduated from professional technical fashion colleges, Polytechnic University or VTC are preferable
• Minimum 2 years or above garment technical experience
• Knowledge in pattern-making, grading, construction and fit
• Working experience in manufacturer is an advantage
• Acceptance for different culture and environment
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Able to work independently also as a team player

• Candidate with less experience will be considered as junior technician
