Position Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO of the Dubai and Bermuda business, the Head/Director of Business Development will lead the strategic expansion of our operations by forging high-impact partnerships, spearheading business growth initiatives, and overseeing brand marketing efforts. This senior role covers our exchange platforms in both Dubai and Bermuda, with a focus on cultivating executive-level relationships in the fintech, crypto, and financial services sectors. The ideal candidate is a leader with extensive experience in the cryptocurrency industry, adept at navigating complex regulatory landscapes and driving scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Development: Lead the identification, negotiation, and execution of high-value partnerships with key businesses, financial institutions, liquidity providers, and industry leaders to enhance our service offerings and market penetration in Dubai and Bermuda.
- Business Growth Leadership: Design and implement comprehensive growth strategies to acquire institutional and retail clients, optimize revenue streams through lending/borrowing and perpetual futures, and identify new market/product opportunities.
- Market Intelligence and Analysis: Oversee in-depth research on cryptocurrency trends, blockchain innovations, and regulatory evolutions in Dubai and Bermuda to shape long-term business strategies and mitigate risks.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and senior teams in compliance, product, and operations to integrate business development with overall company objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Performance Management: Establish and track KPIs for partnerships, user acquisition/volume, revenue growth, and marketing effectiveness, delivering insightful reports and recommendations to the CEO.
- Networking and Representation: Serve as the company's ambassador at high-profile industry events, conferences, and executive meetings in Dubai, Bermuda, and globally, fostering influential networks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales leadership within the cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services industry
- Demonstrated success in closing major deals and building strategic partnerships
- Expert understanding of cryptocurrency exchanges, lending/borrowing protocols, perpetual futures, and broader blockchain ecosystems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills, with proven ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in marketing and brand management.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with readiness for international travel to Dubai, Bermuda, and beyond.
- Fluency in English and mandarin
