Fit Technician

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the sample review, ensure the fit, constructions and workmanship can meet the quality requirement of the Brand
• Initiate technical development in fit and construction
• Provide support and technical expertise to the team throughout the process from concept to production
• Communicate technical specification requirements to factories / suppliers
• Provide technical support to R&D Team, suppliers and Merchandising Team to ensure fit, construction and workmanship meeting the brand’s requirement
• Communicate with factories on all technical issues
• Have good pattern making skill, capable of adjusting / correcting pattern based on customer’s technical team / designer‘s comment when needed
• Oversee all technical pre-production activities (incl proto and SMS stage) relating to fitting, garment construction, engineering changes and workmanship
• Conduct garment fitting and measurement and check construction and workmanship
• Train, coach & calibrate vendor working from blocks and size grading to ensure samples are correct in terms of quality and design interpretation
• Provide pre-production alert (incl proto and SMS stage) to avoid and solve technical problems
• Review the sample execution performance of factory and give guidance and corrective action plan if necessary

Requirement:

• Diploma in Textiles and Clothing or related subjects
• At least 3-5 years solid experience in Garment Fit Technician
• Familiar with the sample evaluation, manufacturing process, pattern-making, grading, sewing and garment construction
• Good communication skill & good command of written & spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin
• German / European market experience preferred
• Willing to travel occasionally
