Field Services Engineer – Network & Server

Job Location : Quarry Bay, Hong Kong - Onsite

Contractual role

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and test infrastructure components (network, server, storage) at client sites.
• Install and configure software solutions in line with client requirements.
• Provide second-line remote and onsite technical support, focusing on standard and low-complexity incidents.
• Proactively identify, log, and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, client IT departments, and third-party vendors to expedite issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate and timely updates in incident management systems.
• Apply standard procedures and tools to manage configuration items and implement changes.
• Support the implementation of preventative measures to reduce recurring incidents.
• Ensure all service requests and incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs.
• Participate in shift handovers to maintain service continuity.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience in networking and security support.

• Proficiency in server and storage installation and configuration.

• Moderate experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.

• Experience with remote support and collaboration technologies (e.g., Cisco, Webex, SBCs like AudioCodes/Oracle).

• Basic understanding of network routing and switching.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
• Client-centric mindset with a proactive approach to service delivery.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Professional certifications preferred to have

  • Data Centre Technologies: Cisco (e.g., CCNP Data Center), NetApp, EMC.

  • Networking: Cisco (CCNP), Juniper (JNCIP), Aruba (ACMP), F5.

  • Collaboration: Cisco CCNP Collaboration, Microsoft Voice (MS-700, MS-720), Webex Calling/Contact Centre.
