Cloud SRE Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to cloud-based initiatives, including daily operations and ad-hoc technical assignments.
• Produce well-structured and maintainable technical documentation.
• Operate with autonomy while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend solutions that align with both business goals and technical requirements.
• Design and implement new platform features, ensuring cost efficiency and reliability in partnership with internal teams.
• Interface with stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver tailored cloud solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Cloud Computing, related fields or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud environments; cloud automation expertise is a strong plus.
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems and applications preferred.
• Strong understanding of core cloud architecture and cost structures (compute, containers, databases, serverless, storage, etc.).
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Ruby, JavaScript, Python or PHP is advantageous.
• Good knowledge in Azure Cloud or AWS cloud platform.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop ROI, TCO and cost optimization strategies.
• Systems thinking mindset with awareness of edge cases, failure scenarios and implementation nuances.
• Good understanding of software development processes and the SDLC.
• Passionate about exploring emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
• Responsible, resilient and able to perform under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Demonstrated passion for coding and automation practices.
• Self-motivated and capable of working across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong team player with a digital transformation mindset.
• Proficiency or working knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible is an advantage.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Elastic is preferred.
• Awareness of key information security frameworks and standards.
• Broad technical expertise in DevSecOps tools and best practices.
