We are a leading bedding company seeking a highly motivated and independent Business Development Manager to drive B2B sales growth across a variety of sectors, with a key focus on organizations committed to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. While hospitality (including cruise lines and multinational hotels) will be a primary target market, this role also encompasses identifying and developing partnerships within other suitable industries, such as medical, corporate, education (universities, student housing), government/public sector, non-profit organizations, and eco-conscious retailers/distributors.
TheBusiness Development Manager will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation to closing deals. This includes identifying potential partners, conducting market research, preparing compelling presentations, managing effective communication (email, calls, meetings), and nurturing long-term relationships. A proactive and results-oriented approach is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential partners across various industries, including but not limited to hospitality (cruise lines, hotels), medical, corporate, education, government/public sector, non-profits, and eco-conscious retailers/distributors.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry-specific needs, sustainability goals, and purchasing processes.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations showcasing the value proposition of our bedding solutions. Highlight user experience benefits and incorporate our sustainability advantages where relevant.
- Proactively reach out to potential clients through cold and warm calls, emails, networking events, industry conferences, and targeted online outreach.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including follow-up communications, negotiations, contract closing, and ongoing account management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within partner organizations.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and progress towards targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development) to ensure alignment and effective execution of partnership strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Experience in procurement or sourcing, ideally within the textiles, linens, or hospitality supply industries is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably with experience selling across multiple industries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and highly motivated to achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
