Assistant Business Development Manager (International Trade)

Key Accountabilities

• Report to the Department Manager, formulate and implement effective sales strategy and promotion plans.
• Handle trade administration matters, such as negotiating trade details, drafting contracts, applying for internal approval, monitoring the implementation of trade, etc.
• Assess market potential and proactively develop new businesses in order to achieve and exceed company set sales targets and budgets.
• Analyze risk exposure and help determining appropriate actions.
• Provide regular and timely reports to management.
• Carry out and complete ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by Management.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Job Requirements

• Passionate about commodity trading.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sharp business sense with strategic mind and superb analytical skills is preferred.
• Fast learner and self-motivated with strong business development skills, able to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Familiar with international trade regulations and relevant laws, foreign trade import and export procedures, SFC rules and financial services activities (Securities and Futures Trading) preferred.
• Degree holder in Business Development, Risk Management, Sales and Marketing is preferred.
• Relevant work experience in international trading or commodity trading. Solid trading experience on petrochemical, fuel oil or Biofuel products; with good network in oil / petrochemical industry and good sense in such business opportunities will be advantage.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Immediate available is preferred.
