Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Handling the day-to-day operations of the student records office in Registry;
  • Performing efficient and accurate clerical and administrative duties such as applications handling, processing and fee collection;
  • Providing professional frontline student services including counter, emails and/or hotline service;
  • Performing application functional test and document the testing results; and
  • Performing other ad doc duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • At least 5 passes in HKCEE or 5 subjects with Level 2 or equivalent in HKDSE, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics;
  • Good communication and writing skills in English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua);
  • Good computer skills including WORD, EXCEL and Chinese word processing, preferably with some IT knowledge;
  • Capable of multi-tasking and attentive to details; and
  • Be a good team player with strong sense of responsibility and motivation.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates. The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University.
