Analyst Programmer / Senior Analyst Programmer

The Job

• Carry out programming tasks and web design according to specifications;
• Prepare test plan, test cases, test environments and conduct testing;
• Support user acceptance test and system implementation;
• Provide on-going user and application support;
• Assist in providing user training and support to enable users to operate systems effectively;
• Prepare and maintain system documentation according to the guidelines and standards;
• Assist Systems Analyst in user requirement collection, system analysis and design; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person

• A recognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent;
• At least two years of solid post-graduate experience in IT application development of which one year must be in similar post and in a comparable capacity while proficiency in the following is a must:

- Java/J2EE

- Relational databases (e.g. Oracle with PL/SQL and / or MS SQL)

Knowledge in the following would be an advantage:

- Spring Framework, RESTful API, JSF/ICEfaces, ACE components

- iBATIS, myBATIS, Hibernate

- JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, ReactJS

- Responsive web design

• Hands-on technical experience in 3-tier and web development;
• Conversant with SDLC development methodology;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Good interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Able to work independently while reporting progress as necessary;
• Good working attitude, flexible and a good team player; and
• Candidate with less experience with good aptitude / personal attributes may also be considered.

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered.  All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
