Senior Safety Officer / Safety Officer (Registered Safety Officer)

Role Overview

As our Senior Safety Officer, you will lead and oversee workplace safety operations, support project execution, and ensure the application of best practices under local safety laws and ISO 45001:2018. Occasional job-assignments in the Greater Bay Area may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Registered Safety Officer, fulfilling statutory duties under Hong Kong Labour Department regulations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-level Safety Management Systems
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits; ensure timely follow-up on issues.
• Lead incident investigations; coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize and deliver safety training—including site induction, toolbox talks, and emergency drills—to site staff and contractors.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and external consultants to ensure full regulatory compliance
• Monitor compliance with legislation (OSH Ordinance, F&IU Regulations), and submit required documentation to authorities.
• Maintain safety records, permit-to-work forms, and hazard logs.
• Liaise with project teams and subcontractors to align construction work with safety best practices.
• Lead initiatives to promote a positive safety culture across teams
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior safety team members (e.g. Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors).

Qualifications & Experience

• Holder of valid Registered Safety Officer certificate under HKSAR Labour Department
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction site
• Diploma or higher in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, or related fields.
• Certified in First Aid and (preferably) confined space works permit.
• Strong communication in English and Cantonese.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety documentation software.
• Experience working with fit-out, MEP, or mixed-use construction projects preferred
