MERCHANDISER - SOURCING AND PRODUCTION - 9-MONTH CONTRACT

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of garment-making processes, including denim fabrics, printing and washing. Fully aware of all physical and chemical testing requirements.
• Troubleshoot potential production issues
• Manage and monitor production process and progress from approved PPS to final shipment.  Ensure quality is strictly adhered to and goods are completed on time for final inspection and delivery to forwarder / DC.
• Communicate with Design and Product Development Teams on product issues to ensure that all timelines are upheld, and on-time delivery is preserved.
• Responsible to pack, track and ship development submits, fabric, trim, garment samples to the U.S. for review, comments and approval. Closely follow up on comments and approvals with vendors and the product development team.
• Establish and build good business relationships with vendors and trim suppliers.
• Manage all required data input and reports. Ensure all input and reports are accurate and complete.
• Support and assist the Merchandise Manager in all sourcing and production tasks and responsibilities and any ad hoc assignment as requested.

 Required Experience and Qualification

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in the garment field.
• A-Level or above and possess clothing studies certificate is preferred
• Good PC knowledge. Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Good command in written & spoken English and Mandarin.
• Clear and strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, hardworking, good interpersonal skills and able to work independently.
• Problem solver and critical thinker.
• Experience in product development is required.
