Job Duties
 

• Ensure that all construction works align with the contract documents, drawings, technical specifications, and fulfill the statutory requirements, including the Building Ordinance and relevant laws in Hong Kong;
• Conduct regular inspections of construction works to meet project requirements with good quality;
• Provide technical support to the construction team and resolve technical issues that arise during the construction process to prevent delays and quality defects;
• To supervise and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to meet the contractual requirements;
• Act as a key liaison to communicate with the Housing Authority (HA) and consultants (e.g., engineer's representatives and architect's representatives) and provide technical advice for construction progress;
• Report on construction progress, quality inspections, and technical issues during regular meetings with subcontractors and consultants;
• Responsible for reviewing and preparing technical documents, including construction plans and records, method statements, material submissions, etc.;
• Verify site testing reports, such as concrete and rebar test results, and quality assurance records (QAR);
• Assist in monitoring the site's safety management to maintain safety standards in compliance with the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance;
• Resolve any post-completion defect rectifications within the defect liability period

Requirements
 

• Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or a Registered Professional Engineer in Civil or Structural discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience;
• Technically Competent Person (TCP) Grade T4 of Registered Contractor Stream for Foundation Works, Building Works (including Building Works with significant geotechnical content) and Street Works as required under the Code of Practice for Site Supervision (CoPSS);
• Well-versed in Building Regulations and Code of Practices;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Self-motivated, good communications and interpersonal skills
