Job Description

Duties
The appointee is expected to:

1.    Develop and implement integrated and strategic marketing and public relations campaigns to effectively promote the Press and publications, in order to increase visibility and enhance the reputation of the University;
2.    Stay updated on emerging digital platforms, the latest trends and innovative technologies to adapt strategies and tactics to improve digital marketing and PR efforts of the Press;
3.    Plan and execute marketing events, such as book launches and local and overseas book fairs, to maintain the brand exposure of the Press;
4.    Devise and implement trade and retail marketing strategies to enhance the physical and digital distribution services of the Press for global outreach across various distribution markets;
5.    Oversee and manage daily sales order business operations, supervise warehouse fulfilment and delivery, so as to provide an excellent customer service experience;
6.    Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including authors, editors, distributors, media outlets, and the academic community, to promote the publications and brand of the Press and the University; and
7.    Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
1.    A Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience;
2.    Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese language (including Putonghua);
3.    Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint;
4.    Extensive knowledge of digital marketing, social media platforms, web proficiency, and event marketing;
5.    Good interpersonal and organisational skills with a strong sense of responsibility;
6.    A self-motivated and good team player with ability to work independently; and
7.    Preference will be given to candidates with good knowledge of the publishing industry, Adobe creative solutions, video production, HTML and web design.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
