Instructional Assistant (Chinese) (Job ID: 10859)

The Center for Language Education of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is looking for a high calibre and outgoing candidate to fill the position of Instructional Assistant (Chinese). The appointee will be involved in the planning, delivery, evaluation and administrative support of student activities designed to enhance participants' Chinese language and communication skills.  The appointee will be responsible for mentoring a group of student activity facilitators, and liaising with student bodies, internal departments and external organizations. Working irregular hours will be required.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree. The appointee is expected to possess a good command of Putonghua and written Chinese with effective interpersonal and communication skills.  Experience in project management, website management, teaching and organizing student activities will be an asset. Shortlisted candidates might be required to prepare a presentation of a language learning activity. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
