Assistant Manager (IT Infrastructure)

Responsibilities

• Report to Manager, IT Infrastructure to oversee the daily IT network infrastructure service operations;
• Establish priorities for the maintenance, design, and development of infrastructure systems inclusive of LANs, WANs, WLAN, Internet, etc.;
• Review and control changes to IT network to ensure compliance with IT standard and best practice;
• Develop and update IT Policies, Standards and Procedures
• Identify and measure key operational metrics;
• Lead development of IT automation to streamline IT network infrastructure implementation and modification;
• Administrate and maintain IT network infrastructure facilities including server rooms, network devices and appliances, network cabling, network storage, server/desktop/laptops network;
• Maintain logs and documentation of daily activities for IT network operations;
• Manage IT network infrastructure design, upgrade, patch delivery and service recovery;
• Establish contingency systems and plans to supplement service availability;
• Planning, resources budgeting and management of daily activities for IT network operations;
• Collaborate with users on preparation of project proposal and execution of subsequent implementation activities;
• Participate in procurement processes including preparation of request for proposal, evaluation of tenders and negotiation of contracts; and
• Manage vendor to fulfil services.

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience; minimum 2 of which in leading role in IT network operations;
• Well versed in network firewall, switching, routing, and server access control list operations;
• Knowledge and experience in WAN/LAN/WLAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, VDI, HCI, SAN and NAS Storage;
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Linux (Red Hat / CentOS / SUSE)
• Knowledge and experience in server operations is preferred
• In depth knowledge in IT network configuration and administration, project management, vendor management, and change management;
• Strong leadership, inter-personal and communication skills;
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and highly adaptable to change;
• Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese. Putonghua a definite asset; and
• Certified PMP, ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CISA, CISM are preferred.
