Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of sports programs and events, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard and within budget
  • Work closely with the Sports Manager and team members to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as sports associations, sponsors, and suppliers
  • Support the Sports Manager in leading and managing a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring they are motivated, supported, and trained to deliver high-quality services
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for sports programs and events, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sports programs and events, using data and feedback to continuously improve performance
  • Represent the organization at external events and conferences, to promote its work and build relationships with potential partners and supporters
  • Welcome retired athletes to apply for this position and bring their expertise and experience to the team

Entry Requirements:
Study Fields:

  • Diploma holder in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sports or event management, with a proven track record of success
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong logistical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results
  • Passionate about sports and events, with a commitment to the organization's mission and values
  • Able to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Additional Requirements:

  • First aid certificate holder is preferable
