Senior Teaching Fellow/Teaching Fellow/Instructor I/II in the Department of Public and International Affairs [Ref. R/004/24] 
Duties

Contribute to teaching and teaching-related activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specifically in critical thinking, political philosophy, applied ethics, political ethics, political theory and public policy; supervise capstone projects; and participate actively in research and contribute to the broader intellectual project of the Department in terms of publications, seminars, workshops and research proposals.

Requirements

A PhD in Philosophy or closely related fields, specialising in one or more sub-fields (such as Critical Thinking, Political Philosophy, Applied Ethics, Political Ethics, Political Theory, Public Policy, or Research Methods) with proven ability to teach courses in critical thinking, political philosophy, applied ethics, political ethics, political theory and public policy, supervise capstone projects and conduct policy-related research.

Candidates for Senior Teaching Fellow should have substantial professional experience, expertise and recognisable achievements in the field, and a distinguished record of teaching and administration, contribution to instructional development, with demonstrated experience and accomplishment in curriculum planning and student supervision.

Candidates for Teaching Fellow should have relevant professional experience and expertise in the field, with experience in teaching and administration.

Candidates for Instructor I should have 4 years’ appropriate postgraduate full-time teaching experience. Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor II.

Salary and Conditions of Service

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
