Senior Merchandiser (Fashion & Accessories)

A Senior Merchandiser with over 8 years of merchandising experience in fashion & accessories field are ideal for this senior role. Strong sourcing and product development skills, oversees the entire merchandising cycle from product development and sourcing to production and sales, manage vendor relationships, samples & orders follow-up, ensure quality standards, analyse product & fashion trends to optimize product style and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Sourcing:

Develop new product lines including fashion, footwear & fashion accessories, source new products, vendors, materials and components from suppliers/clients.

Order & Vendor Management:

Manage orders and vendors, negotiate with suppliers, factories, and manufacturing partners to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Production, Quality Control, Shipment & logistics arrangements

Monitor the sampling, merchandising and production process, inspect samples, size fitting and ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications. Manage QC, logistics and shipments etc.

Cost and Quality Management:

Support cost estimates, vendor negotiations, and seasonal updates, ensuring the product meets cost and quality requirements.

Product & Inventory Management:

Manage orders, product stock levels, analyse sales data, and optimize product assortment to maximize sales and minimize losses.

Customer Communication:

Serve different customer (including inland & overseas) needs for product development, sampling & order execution. Collaborate with different teams to develop new products, order follow-up and ensure the successful launch of new products.

Additional Skills:

• Effectively communicate & negotiation skills with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. Work with various departments, including designer, QC & sales teams to ensure product design intent and quality standards are met. Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers. 

• MS Office Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office applications for reporting and data analysis. 

• Languages: Proficiency in English, Mandarin & Cantonese

• Personal Attributes: Reliable, self-motivation, and adaptability, with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Travel Flexibility: Be open to occasional travel to Mainland China, supporting on-site operations and supplier relationships.
