About the Role

We're launching an exciting new loyalty and cashback business, and we're looking for a dynamic Manager of Business Development & Partnerships (F&B) to drive growth in the food and beverage sector. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale our F&B partnership ecosystem from the ground up, working with restaurants, cafes, food chains, and delivery platforms to create compelling cashback experiences for our customers.

 

Job Duty

  • Strategic Growth & Business Development

    • Drive the overall growth strategy and business development initiatives for our F&B cashback vertical.

    • Identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships with key F&B merchants, restaurant chains, and food platforms.

    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value F&B partners to expand our cashback offerings.

    • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with POS system providers and payment companies to enable seamless cashback integration.

  • Partnership Management

    • Cultivate and manage relationships with key F&B stakeholders, from independent restaurants to major food chains.

    • Work closely with partners to design attractive cashback campaigns that drive customer engagement and merchant value.

    • Collaborate with POS and payment partners to ensure smooth technical integration and merchant onboarding.

    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, product) to ensure seamless partner onboarding and campaign execution.

  • Team Leadership & Performance

    • Lead and mentor the BD team to achieve and exceed partnership acquisition and revenue targets.

    • Take full ownership of team performance, processes, and quality standards.

    • Foster a high-performance culture focused on results, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Market Intelligence & Strategy

    • Stay ahead of F&B industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.

    • Develop strategic plans and initiatives to position us as the leading cashback platform in the F&B space.

    • Contribute insights and recommendations to shape the overall business strategy.

  • Business Performance

    • Be accountable for the F&B vertical's performance metrics, including GMV, partner acquisition, and customer engagement.

    • Monitor and optimize partnership ROI and business unit P&L.

    • Implement data-driven approaches to improve conversion rates and partnership quality.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Essential Experience

    • 5+ years in business development, sales, or partnership management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

    • Proven track record in the F&B, food-tech, retail-tech, payments, or fintech industry.

    • Direct experience partnering with POS system providers and payment companies (e.g., POS vendors, payment gateways, acquiring banks)

    • Strong experience in B2B sales and partnership negotiations, with demonstrated ability to close complex deals.

    • Experience managing and exceeding team targets in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

    • Understanding of payment ecosystems, merchant acquiring, and POS integration processes.

  • Key Strengths

    • Outstanding networking skills with an existing network of F&B merchant partners (restaurants, chains, delivery platforms).

    • Established relationships with POS and payment industry players is highly valued.

    • Strategic thinker who can balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution.

    • Natural leader who can build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.

    • Ownership mindset with grit, tenacity, and resilience to overcome challenges.

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

    • Technical aptitude to understand payment flows, API integrations, and merchant onboarding processes.

  • Nice to Have

    • Experience with cashback, loyalty programs, or rewards platforms.

    • Track record of developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns with partners.

    • Familiarity with Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

    • Understanding of online-to-offline (O2O) business models.

    • Knowledge of payment regulations and compliance requirements.
