Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a pivotal role in effectively resolving customer complaints as they specifically relate to the delivered product. This role is responsible for driving the timely resolution of customer quality and shortage issues while ensuring root cause analysis and recurrence prevention through robust process improvements. The role requires close collaboration with Product Development, Quality Control, Customer Service, Production, and factory partners throughout Asia.


Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Complaint Review:
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of customer quality complaints resulting in a CAP, ensuring alignment with buyer expectations, internal standards, and feasible production capabilities. Gather information from all relevant stakeholders to identify, solve, and execute solutions for CAP utilizing CAP Actions.
  • CAPA (Corrective Action / Preventive Action) Program Development:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive CAPA process covering all stages—identification, containment, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, verification, and closure.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Customer Service, Quality Control, Product Development, Production, and factory representatives to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
  • Timely Execution:
  • Ensure all CAPAs and CAPs are completed within designated timeframes. Monitor open actions and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Efficiency Improvement:
  • Drive initiatives to reduce average resolution time for CAPAs and CAPs through process improvements and team coordination.
  • Tracking & Monitoring:
  • Maintain and manage reporting for CAPAs and CAPs related to resolution time, escalation, and overall workflow to identify any trends. Report on progress, bottlenecks, and overall effectiveness of the process.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze quality trends, recurring defects, and non-conformances. Provide insights and strategic recommendations to leadership to elevate supplier performance and product quality.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement by ensuring that CAPAs address systemic issues and lead to measurable outcomes.


Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of quality assurance/quality control
  • 3+ years apparel trim manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing CAPA processes, quality investigations, and third-party manufacturing relationships.

  • Background working within global supply chains, preferably in B2B manufacturing environments.

Geographic Experience:

  • Hands-on experience working with garment/trim factories in Asia (China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, etc.), with a preference for candidates who have spent time managing customer expectations surrounding garment trimprograms.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills. Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills are needed to understand complex problems.
  • Effective communicator with both internal teams and external vendors via phone calls, video calls, writing, and in-person meetings.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple investigations simultaneously.
  • English, Cantonese, and Mandarin proficiency is a necessity. Proficiency in Vietnamese is a plus.
