Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize events, activities, training, and workshops related to humanitarian education and advocacy topics such as People on The Move, International Humanitarian Law, etc.
  • Capture stories and log experiences from POM programs for future sharing and consolidation of learnings
  • Assist in the development and planning of humanitarian education and advocacy workshops, training, and activities to staff, volunteers and the public
  • Translate and localize text, audio, and visual materials in an adaptive manner to accommodate the needs of diverse audiences, including those with disabilities, for use in local humanitarian education and advocacy work
  • Ensure the activities and internal guidelines are aligned with the organization's policies and goals for humanitarian education and advocacy
  • Provide administrative support to humanitarian education and advocacy campaigns
  • Design and produce publicity materials to promote humanitarian values/agenda to various stakeholders and the public
  • Support other humanitarian education activities of the Humanitarian Education Center


Requirements:

  • Completion of HKCEE / HKDSE (minimum five passes, including English, Chinese and Mathematics) equivalent or above, with 2 years' related working experience
  • (University graduate with less experience will also be considered)
  • Keen interest and commitment in humanitarian work, human services, and value education
  • Knowledge of nonprofit operational environment and culture
  • Willing to learn and support the team in new initiatives 
  • Flexible personality, initiative, good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adequate facilitation and debriefing skills
  • Good written and spoken Chinese and English skills (including Chinese, English and Mandarin)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Typing (Chinese and English)
  • Proficiency in graphic design and website operation is a plus
  • Ability to streamline processes with strong attention to details


Contract Period: 1 year (renewable)
