• Identifying technology development opportunities to solve major problems in the healthcare sector
• Developing innovative technology solutions with professors, collaborators, and industry partners
• Designing products and services that will meet user needs with technological breakthroughs
• Coordinating research projects, executing experiments, solving technical challenges, and achieving desirable project results
• Translating research outcomes into marketable applications and business opportunities
• Writing proposals, reports, articles, patents, technical specifications, and other publications
• Delivering high-quality presentations to collaborators and partners
• Handling other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s)
Requirements:
• PhD/ M. Phil/ M. Eng/ M. Sc degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, Engineering Physics, or related disciplines
• Mature, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
• Highly proficient and fluent in English in both writing and verbal communications
• Relevant industry (corporate, non-academic) R&D experience in the health tech/ biomedical engineering sector is a MUST:
Senior Engineer:
2+ years of experience after obtaining PhD degree; or
4+ years of experience after obtaining master degree
Engineer:
1+ year of experience after obtaining PhD degree; or
2+ years of experience after obtaining master degree
• Relevant industry expertise in specialized areas (in at least one of the following areas):
- Artificial Intelligence for Cellular Imaging:
- Biomaterials or Bioelectronics for Electronic Skin
- Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)
- Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) for Pharmaceuticals
- FDA-Related Regulatory Affairs
- Interventional Cardiology or Interventional Radiology
- Ophthalmology Medical Devices
- Organoids
- Orthopedic Implants
- Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Devices for Pathogens or Chronic Diseases
