Responsibilities

Design and implement Oracle database architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security best practices, and cost efficiency.

Administer and manage Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c, and 23c), including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.

Lead Oracle database upgrades from older versions (e.g., 11g, 12c) to Oracle 23c, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Implement and manage high-availability solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate) for disaster recovery and business continuity.

Monitor and optimize database performance, including SQL tuning, indexing, and resource allocation.

Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.

Apply security patches and ensure compliance with database security policies.

Collaborate with development teams on database design, query optimization, and best practices.

Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, PL/SQL).

Evaluate and recommend new Oracle technologies (e.g., Oracle Multitenant, In-Memory) for performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher certification (mandatory).

5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience, with a strong focus on Oracle 19c and 23c.

Proven experience in upgrading Oracle databases (e.g., 11g/12c to 19c/23c).

Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Golden Gate replication.

Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN, SQL tuning, and performance optimization.

Experience with Oracle Linux and cloud based Oracle solutions (OCI,AWS RDS)

Proficiency in automation scripting (Shell, Python, PL/SQL).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
