Business Development Manager (banking & insurance solution)

OneConnect is a leading technology solution provider to government, banks, insurances, and regulators. Our presence in Hong Kong has a strategic mission for Greater Bay Area (GBA) business, technology, and data integration. We established our comprehensive financial ecosystem venturing composed of technology solution, authorized credit data, and financial institutes in Hong Kong.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our banking & insurance technology solution for Hong Kong and oversea.

The role:

• Responsible for selling business application solutions and technology services to retail banking, commercial banking, and insurance.
• Exercise consultative selling on digital innovation to retail banking, business banking, or life insurance.
• Responsible for the entire sales process, from relationship cultivation, opportunities acquisition, qualification, pre-sales, deal closing and contract negotiation.
• Lead the complex solution crafting including presentation, business proposal, RFP response, and POC.
• Relationship building with the senior-level business management of the banks/insurance
• Acquire external partnerships for technology providers to complement our solution/services offering.
• Savvy on regulators and GBA cross-boundary data and finance policy regulation.
• Accountable for achieving the assigned financial target.

Requirement:

• University graduate with well-written and verbal proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience,
• Preferred with business application solutions/services selling experience to banks or insurances.
• Proactive, result-driven, self-motivated, passionate, and willing to learn new technology/ business/ regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior-level executives
• Knowledge of digital onboarding, anti-fraud and core banking is a plus
• Knowledge of the insurance agent’s transformation, or core insurance is a plus.
