Reporting to the Assistant Academic Registrar (Academic Quality Advancement), the Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the University’s commitment to academic excellence. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality daily operations and ensuring the smooth execution of the team’s responsibilities with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset. We are looking for a self-driven and dedicated professional who demonstrates strong execution capabilities and is passionate about advancing academic standards and promoting best practices in quality assurance and enhancement across the University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project management plans and task user manuals for the regular evaluations of academic offerings, including student surveys and assessments.
- Conduct regular evaluations of academic offerings and analyse data collected to generate evidence-based insights for continuous enhancement of teaching and learning quality.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on academic quality metrics, including student feedback, performance indicators, and benchmarking results.
- Liaise with academic departments, support units, and offices to deliver high-quality outputs for academic improvement and innovation, and promote best practices in academic advancement.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of the academic quality-related initiatives and projects, including student advocacy and engagement activities, to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the university community.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised bachelor's degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience in the tertiary education sector, preferably with a focus on academic quality advancement and assurance, student survey evaluation and assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), with a keen attention to detail and the ability to present information accurately, clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret matters critically and provide actionable insights.
- Good organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and foster positive relationships, with a growth mindset and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Supervisory experience, proficiency in data analytics and statistical analysis, and familiarity with AI-powered tools are considered advantageous.
Duration:2 years contract (renewable)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a 1-hour written test and an interview.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
