Job Description

  • support the development and enhancement of UOBHK’s Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) data analytics capabilities, including data infrastructure, model development, system upgrades/redesigns, and ongoing support.
  • work closely with Head office to drive AFC data analytics and system projects for UOBHK, to ensure seamless deployment of AFC technical solution adapting to local circumstances;
  • Implement processes/systems to monitor data quality and drive optimization;
  • Manage the system projects from developing project plan, testing design and post-implementation review to ensure effective roll-out of system and data analytics solutions;
  • Provide on-going enhancement and maintenance support for continuous improvement of AFC data analytics models and systems;
  • Ad-hoc tasks assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computing Science/Engineering, Business or related disciplines;
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably with a strong background in Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) data analytics and system implementation;
  • Proficiency in Python or Spark to code complex data engineering solutions; Hands-on experience with data engineering tools such as Hive, Impala, Oozie, and Hadoop;
  • Solid understanding of schema design and dimensional data modeling; Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and its application in delivering analytics outcomes;
  • Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis on internal and external data/processes to address business questions and identify improvement opportunities;
  • Experience in deploying and scaling system solutions;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to see the big picture in planning and execution.
