Field Engineer - Networking

DCSS Technology (Hong Kong) Limited is a dynamic IT solutions provider committed to delivering cutting-edge technology and exceptional service. We are expanding our operations in Hong Kong and seeking an experienced Field Engineer with expertise in networking to join our team.

As a Field Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the deployment and maintenance of IT systems for our clients. This position is ideal for individuals with a foundation primarily in networks, servers, and storage who are eager to grow their technical expertise in a hands-on environment.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and AP;

• System Support: Provide on-site technical support for networks, servers, storage systems, and related hardware;

• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, security configurations, and restore configuration;

• Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, procedures, and configurations;

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose technical issues, and implement timely solutions;

• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure service satisfaction;

• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently.

Our Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role; at least 3 years of experience in the IT field service, including hands-on part replacement for Fortinet, Aruba, Ruckus, Cisco, Juniper, F5, Huawei, H3C, or equivalent network equipment;

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline;

• Holders of Cisco’s CCNA and Fortinet NSE 3 related certificates are preferred;

• Experience in Server and Storage RMA for IBM, HPE, Dell EMC, and Huawei products;

• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of networks, servers, storage systems, and IT infrastructure;

• Good knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols, firewalls, and WiFi controllers;

• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, H3C, or equivalent network equipment;

• Experience with network diagnostics, monitoring, and analysis tools;

• Knowledge of security best practices and network security tools;

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively;

• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to work.

• Language Skills: Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin;

• Willingness to non-office hours work: Occasional work in non-office hours for maintenance or on-site support.
