Registered Safety Officer (2-3 months)

About the role

Artistic Design & Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced Registered Safety Officer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our construction projects in the Kwai Chung Kwai Tsing District. As a Registered Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment for our employees and clients.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting site inspections and dynamic risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
2. Providing safety training and education to employees to promote a strong safety culture
3. Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions
4. Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met
5. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety and environmental management

What we're looking for

1. Registered Safety Officer qualification with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry
2. Thorough knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and industry best practices
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and respond quickly in emergency situations
5. Proficient in using safety-related software and technology
6. Positive attitude and a commitment to promoting a strong safety culture
