The opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join ABDA Cargo Services Hong-Kong Limited as a Sales Manager. In this role, you will lead the new sales and business development efforts for the Group, driving growth and expansion in the air cargo and logistics industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to identify and secure new freight agents and opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong network of air cargo, airfreight industry contacts to generate new business leads
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract & sales negotiations
  • Prepare detailed business projection, sales proposals and presentations to pitch ABDA's services to potential airlines, freighter opportunities
  • Collaborate with the reservation & operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services and a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Contribute to the development of the sales team through mentoring, training and performance management

Key duties

  • Maintain good relationship with airlines, assist to build up and negotiate for the interline
  • Build up opportunities of our offline products if needed
  • Prepare Sales report or any reports required from airlines principles or our headquarter
  • Ensuring smooth operational commercial flow and providing service and response to ABDA head office and local agents
  • Handle requests and receipt of air cargo
  • Coordination of bookings and continuations with interline partners, coordination with contractors, suppliers and government agencies and maintaining the agreements so that they will be respected when online flight activity resumes
  • Establishing contact with various external parties in ongoing cargo handling operations
  • Cost and revenue management
  • Live monitoring of market developments to adjust in real time while maintaining close contact with the Regional Director for ad-hoc approvals
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing accounts and new customers
  • Carrying out any other tasks as requested by the Regional Director

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a airlines cargo sales or business development role, preferably within the airlines freight department
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring new clients and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • In-depth knowledge of the air cargo & logistics industry, including market trends and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address client needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different departments
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin skills an advantage
