Duties
The appointee will be a member of the Identity & Access Control Infrastructure team. He/She will be required to:
(a) administer the single-sign-on service and the staff/student ID management services to ensure the security, performance and healthiness of the University’s identity and access management infrastructure;
(b) administer Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Active Directory Federated Services to facilitate integration between applications and the University’s identity and access management infrastructure;
(c) assist in conducting research on authentication technologies to enhance the authentication security and UX for digital services of the University;
(d) perform troubleshooting and provide technical support to the identity and access management infrastructure;
(e) provide after-office-hour standby/emergency support as and when required; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline;
(b) preferably at least one year of relevant experience;
(c) strong knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and RESTful API;
(d) experience in Windows server administration, Linux server administration and Kubernetes DevOps;
(e) experience in Identity and Access Management standards and technologies such as OpenID Connect, LDAP, PKI, Active Directory and Entra ID;
(f) good interpersonal skills and systematic problem-solving ability; and
(g) the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
